Dreamachine is an immersive experience with music and light, designed to be enjoyed with your eyes closed.
It is inspired by an extraordinary 1959 invention by artist Brion Gysin, described as the ‘first artwork to be experienced with your eyes closed’. The 21st Century Dreamachine has been created by a team of leading minds in architecture, technology, music, neuroscience, and philosophy, including Turner Prize-winning collective Assemble and Grammy-nominated composer Jon Hopkins.
Dreamachine is at Carlisle Memorial Church, from Tuesday 26 July until Sunday 4 September.
Tickets for the experience are available now. All tickets to Dreamachine are free, but are selling out quickly.
Dreamachine offers two versions of the experience: High Sensory and Deep Listening. More info on the different experiences can be found here.
We are holding tickets in more popular sessions on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to ensure local and community access at these times – these can be accessed by entering the promo code DMLOCAL22 on our High Sensory or Deep Listening booking pages.
Please complete the pre-booking form before booking your ticket.
